We are a nail salon, not a data company. This page says plainly what we collect when you book with us online, who else sees any of it, and how to have it removed. Last updated September 22, 2026.
What we collect when you book
Booking online asks for:
- Your name and mobile number. So we know who is coming, so we can text you a sign-in code, and so we can reach you if something changes.
- The services you picked, any look, and any colour you matched. So your technician has the right polish and the right amount of time set aside before you sit down.
- The day and time you asked for, and the technician you asked for, if you chose one.
- Your email — only if you type one. It is optional. Give it and you get a written "we got your request" note, and occasionally something from the salon; every email has an unsubscribe line.
- Anything you write in the notes box.
Signing in with your number and a code also lets you see, move or ask to cancel your own appointments, and save the looks you like. Those stay on your record so they are there next time.
Your verification code is sent by text through Telnyx, and email through Resend. They carry the message for us. Our website and booking page sit behind Cloudflare, and the booking and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out.
What goes to Meta and Google
We advertise on Facebook, Instagram and Google, and we would rather know which ads actually bring someone through the door than guess. So when a booking request goes through, your browser sends to Meta and Google:
- the dollar estimate of the booking, and our own reference number for it;
- a scrambled version of your phone number — put through a one-way hash (SHA-256) in your own browser. It is a string of 64 letters and numbers, it cannot be turned back into your number, and it is only there so Meta and Google can tell it was the same person who clicked an ad.
We never send your name, your email, your notes, or your phone number in readable form — not to Meta, not to Google, not to anyone.
Our pages also load Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics and the Meta pixel. Those set cookies and record which pages get used, and which ad or search brought you. They also record when someone taps the salon phone number, and when someone reaches the booking page with services chosen.
In plain terms: we use pixels, cookies and similar storage from third parties, including Meta and Google, to collect information about what happens on this site. Those third parties, including Google, use that information to measure our advertising and to show our ads to you on other sites and apps across the internet, based on your past visits here. You can find out how Google handles it on How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. The ways to turn any of it off are listed below.
There is no cookie banner. Texas does not require one, and the honest version of that choice is this page and the opt-outs below, rather than a pop-up nobody reads.
Your photo on the colour page
If you use our colour matcher, the photo never leaves your phone. It is opened and read inside your own browser. It is not uploaded, not stored, not backed up, and nobody here can see it. The only thing that travels to us is the colour you tapped — seven characters like #C87D81 — so we can look up the closest polishes on our wall. There is nothing to delete afterwards, because nothing was kept.
Your number inside the salon
Our own staff screens do not show customer phone numbers. They show the last four digits only. The full number can be uncovered by the owner alone, with a code, and every time that happens — including every failed try — it is written to a log that cannot be edited.
Texts and emails from us
We text you in exactly three situations: your sign-in code, a confirmation that your booking request reached us, and the answer when the owner approves the time you asked for or cannot take it. That is all. We do not send marketing texts, we do not keep a texting list, and we never hand your mobile number to anyone else for their marketing.
Your number is how the booking works, not a condition of being a customer — you are always welcome to just ring the salon instead. Email is different: it is optional, and every email we send carries an unsubscribe link that works straight away.
How we keep it safe
- Both of our sites are served over an encrypted connection behind Cloudflare, and the booking and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out.
- Sign-in codes, and the token that keeps you signed in on your phone, are stored scrambled rather than in readable form. A code stops working ten minutes after it is sent, and once it is used it is spent.
- Staff screens show only the last four digits of a phone number, and the full number can only be uncovered by the owner, with a code, on a log that cannot be edited.
- There are no card numbers on this website for anyone to steal.
No website anywhere is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can say is that we hold as little as the job needs and put as little of it on screen as we can.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13, and there is nothing here that asks a child for their details — a parent or guardian books for a child and gives their own name and number. If you think a child has given us something, call or email us and we will take it off.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not buy lists or add you to one because you walked in.
- We do not ask for or keep card numbers on this website.
How long we keep it
We keep your record for as long as you are a customer of ours, because that is the whole point of it — so that next time we know what you had last time, what colour you liked, what your technician did differently, and anything you reacted to. A record we threw away is a conversation you would have to have all over again.
So we do not put a clock on it. What we do instead is this: ask us and we will take you off. Call or email, and we will remove your name, your number, your email and your notes, and confirm when it is done. We do that for anyone who asks, whichever state they live in, and we do not ask you why. What stays behind is a bookkeeping line with nobody attached to it, which we keep for our own accounts.
Sign-in codes are a different matter and much shorter-lived: a code stops working ten minutes after we send it, and once you have used it, it is spent.
How to opt out
- Ads. Meta: Facebook ad preferences. Google: My Ad Center. To switch off a whole industry of advertisers at once, including us, use the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.
- Analytics and cookies. Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. On an iPhone, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Ask us. Call (903) 704-0264 or email rionailsbar@gmail.com and ask to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. We do that for anyone who asks, whichever state they live in, and we will come back to you within 45 days — usually the same week. We may need to check it is really you first, before we delete someone’s appointment history. If you are not happy with our answer, say so and the owner will look at it again herself.
Opting out never changes your service, your price, or how you are treated when you walk in.
When this page changes
If we start doing something new with your information — a different advertising tool, a new way of booking — we change this page and we change the date at the bottom of it. The date is the honest way to tell whether what you are reading is current. There is no archive of old versions; the page you are looking at is what we do now.
