Classic, Hybrid, Wet Set or Wispy: Which Lash Look Is Right for You?
Date Published

If you've scrolled lash photos and can't tell why one set looks soft and natural and the next looks full and dramatic, it's not the artist's skill. It's the style. Rio Nails Bar in Longview, TX offers five lash extension styles, and picking the right one upfront saves you a redo. Here's the real difference.
Classic Lash Extension: $130, about 2 hours

One extension on each natural lash. This is the soft, natural option: it reads as your lashes, just longer and darker. If you want lashes you could wear to work without anyone asking where you got them done, start here.
The most common lash regret isn't the style. It's asking for "natural" and getting something dramatic because nobody checked. Quinn walks through a reference photo and confirms length, curl and fullness with you before anything touches your lash line.
Hybrid Lash Extension: $150, about 2 hours

A mix of classic lashes and volume fans in the same set. Fuller and more textured than Classic, without going full drama. This is the middle option most first-timers love once they want "a little more."
Wet Set: $150, about 2 hours

A hybrid-style set finished in soft, defined spikes for a glossy mascara look, like you just stepped out of the shower. Pick it if you love the look of mascara but want to skip putting it on every morning.
Wispy Set: $150, about 2 hours

A hybrid-style set with longer spikes mixed through for a soft, feathered, textured look. It has more movement than a Classic set and photographs beautifully.
Not sure where to start? Most first-time clients love a Hybrid, Wet Set or Wispy Set: noticeably fuller than Classic, and still soft and natural-looking.
Volume Lash Extension: $180, about 2.5 hours

Several ultra-fine extensions fanned on each natural lash for maximum fullness. This is the set for a wedding, a night out, or if you want lashes front and center every day. It takes the longest because each fan is built by hand.
Add-ons worth knowing about
Mink Lash (+$10 and up): a premium, ultra-soft mink-style fiber for an even more natural finish.
Custom design (+$20 and up): colored tips, ombré effects or special styling on any set.

Frequently asked
How often do I need a fill?
Every 2-3 weeks. Classic fills are $40 within 2 weeks and $65 at 2-3 weeks. Hybrid, Wet Set and Wispy fills are $40 / $75 / $100, and Volume fills are $40 / $85 / $120.
How do I care for lash extensions?
Avoid water and steam for the first 24 hours, skip oil-based products near your eyes, brush your lashes daily and don't rub your eyes. Rubbing is what actually causes early lash loss, not the extensions.
Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Professional application and removal are designed to protect your natural lashes. Damage usually comes from picking, rubbing or removing them at home, which is why we recommend professional removal ($30 and up). The real test of a good set isn't day one, it's week three: ask what retention to expect before you book.
